Glyn Thomas – CFP; Chartered Financial Adviser and Affiliate of STEP

Glyn entered the financial services industry in 1987, and in 1991 joined a long established and respected firm of local solicitor’s as an in-house financial adviser. He qualified as a Certified Financial Planner in April 2014 – the global standard of excellence in Financial Planning and became an Affiliate of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) – an across-professional body for those involved in Wills, trusts estate planning, probate etc.

Glyn has been awarded chartered status, meaning that he is one of the highest qualified advisers within the industry. 

Glyn is a fluent in both Welsh and English.

Glyn is listed in the SIFA Directory of Professional Financial Advisers which is endorsed by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority. Legal + Financial = Trusted adviser = private client business model for the future. He is one of a niche group of advisers to hold all three qualifications.

Alison Mayes – DipFA

Alison has worked in the Financial Services industry since joining Barclays Life in 1989 where she worked advising both private and corporate clients on protection, pension, investments and mortgages. In 2002 she left the bank to become a Financial Adviser, and in 2011 became a fully qualified Financial Adviser holding the diploma in financial planning.

Throughout her career treating clients fairly and not adopting a “one size fits all” approach has always been her mantra to ensure clients dreams and aspirations are addressed in a professional and approachable way.

More recently to keep up to date with the changing world of pensions Alison has successfully completed the Chartered Insurance Institute R08 exam. She currently holds her Statement of Professional Standing with the London Institute of Banking & Finance.

Paul Evans – DipPFS

Paul has been employed in the financial services industry since he joined NatWest Bank from school in 1978 and where, he worked for 34 years, until taking early retirement in 2012. During his time at the bank, Paul worked in various roles and locations throughout Wales, and the last 21 years as a financial adviser providing financial planning advice on protection, pension planning, savings and investment to both personal and business clients. Paul is a fully qualified financial adviser holding the CII Statement of Professional Standing.   Paul is fluent in both Welsh and English.
